SCADA Administrator

Crow Wing Power is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented SCADA Administrator to join our team. This role is responsible for configuring, maintaining and supporting the supervisory control and data acquisition system (SCADA). The SCADA Administrator will collaborate closely with IT, System Operations and field technicians. This position requires strong computer and networking skills, strong positive leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:  

• Design, configure, and maintain the SCADA hardware and software in keeping with CWP policies and procedures, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
• Maintain and support SCADA servers, databases, data historian, SCADA one-lines, map board, operator training, and related electric operations systems.
• Coordinate new and existing SCADA infrastructure and display activities with CWP’s System Operations and field staff for timely, clear and accurate data display and control.
• Other duties assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications/Requirements:                

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited institution is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

Knowledge of National Electric Safety Code and NERC CIP preferred

Must be proficient with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn and understand company specific computer applications. Proficiency with LINUX operating systems is a plus.

Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Must pass pre-employment requirements.

Must possess the qualifications, experience and skills deemed appropriate by management.

Crow Wing Power is a progressive, diversified, member-owned distribution cooperative which serves 40,000 members in a three-county region surrounding the beautiful Brainerd Lakes Area in north central Minnesota.

CWP’s benefits include medical & dental insurance, HSA, life insurance, 401k retirement plan, vacation, sick leave, short-term & long-term disability. The wage range for this position is $86,000 to $109,000. Medical exam, drug test, and background checks are required.
