Cooperative Response Center (CRC)
Reports to: VP, Marketing & Membership
FLSA: Exempt | Base Salary Range: $88,800 – $125,000 + Commissions
Travel: Often 50%, occasionally up to 75%

We are seeking a Regional Business Manager who understands the electric cooperative space — someone who leads with integrity, builds long-term relationships, and drives growth to strengthen the organization.
This role is about partnership. It’s about listening well, solving real operational challenges, and helping co-ops build a better future for their members.

Qualifications
What You'll Do
It all begins with creating connections with the professionals, influencers and decision makers of the electric cooperative and municipal utility industries. Building that trust will result in growing CRC’s membership and increased utilization of our services. Listening, problem-solving skills, and strong interpersonal communication skills are a must.
Expand and Strengthen Membership
Prospect, present, propose, and facilitate new CRC memberships and services
Build relationships with cooperative leaders, boards, and key decision makers
Represent CRC at industry meetings, trade shows, and association events
Host visits at CRC and conduct on-site meetings with prospects and members
Serve as a Strategic Partner
Ensure members are maximizing the value of CRC services
Identify opportunities for service improvement and operational enhancement
Collaborate with CRC leadership on growth strategy, marketing, and innovation
Navigate objections and adversity with professionalism and confidence
Represent CRC with Excellence
Build and present solutions that resolve utility industry challenges
Present confidently to utility personnel and industry groups
Build financial comparisons and cost-of-service analyses
Travel extensively by air and vehicle to serve your region
Who You Are
You thrive in the cooperative space and comprehend the co-op business model. You can easily build trust grow business relationships. You are steady, credible, and solutions-focused.
You likely:
Have experience in sales, electric utilities, or cooperative services
Are comfortable presenting to leadership teams and boards
Can translate technical services into business value
Lead with integrity and transparency
Are self-motivated and organized
Listen deeply before recommending solutions
Are comfortable with Microsoft Office and financial comparisons
A business-related diploma is required (or significant industry experience in lieu of). A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Work Environment & Travel
This position blends office work, remote work, and extensive travel. Travel is often 50% of the time and may occasionally reach 75% during peak months. You must be able to travel independently by air and motor vehicle. You will also need to lift up to 50 pounds, often associated with luggage or tradeshow displays
