Apprentice Lineman

Federated Rural Electric is seeking a motivated Apprentice Lineman to join our operations department in Jackson, MN.
This position is represented by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 160.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the construction, installation, and maintenance of electrical distribution lines
• Support outage restoration and emergency response activities as needed
• Operate and maintain trucks, tools, and line equipment safely and efficiently
• Participating in safety meetings, training, and certifications
• Climb poles, operate bucket trucks, digger trucks and perform work at heights in all weather conditions
• Complete all apprenticeship-related coursework
  
  Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Class A CDL or ability to obtain
  • Ability to climb, lift heavy materials, and work outdoors in all conditions
  • Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
