TEMPORARY APPRENTICE ELECTRICAL LINEWORKER

Stearns Electric Association, a member-owned electric distribution cooperative serving over 29,000 members in the Central Minnesota area, is seeking to hire two (2) temporary apprentice lineworker positions. 

Successful candidates will be involved in all facets of construction and maintenance of the Stearns Electric Association distribution system. Two (2) positions will work from approximately July – December 2025. These positions are temporary full-time (average 40 hours/week), non-benefits eligible. The pay rate is $29.25 per hour. The positions may report to the Melrose or St. Joseph facilities.

Candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• Shall have an Electrical Lineworker diploma obtained through an approved program
• Possession of a Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License; ability to drive manual trucks and have a good driving record and valid health card
• Ability to climb and work at heights that may exceed 50 feet
• Ability to perform pole top rescue
• Must be in good physical condition, lifting objects up to 100 lbs. or more
• Must pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen which includes cannabis and hemp derived products and a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
