We have an exciting opportunity for a Level II IT Telecommunications Engineer. This position focuses on designing telecommunications systems for substation projects. Responsibilities include gathering requirements, developing material lists, preparing material and labor estimates, creating instructions and drawings, managing projects, and maintaining asset data.
Total Rewards:
A typical starting range for this position is $92,000 - $126,000 annually. Key responsibilities:
- Obtains telecommunications requirements for new sites, systems/technologies, or enhancements.
- Analysis, design, development, implementation, and 3rd level support of existing or new network (data, voice, telemetry, and carrier communications) infrastructure, and network management solutions.
- Participates in construction project scoping and construction project review meetings.
- Performs project management for telecommunications specific projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronic or computer engineering and 2+ years of experiences OR 2+ years post high school education in a telecom related field and 6+ years of experience designing/supporting telecommunications systems.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, execute, and deliver complex telecommunications projects.
- Analytical, interpretive, interpersonal, problem- solving, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, design, and estimating.
- Proficient in managing multiple projects, coordinating assignments, and handling multiple tasks concurrently.
- Bachelor degree in Electrical, Electronic or Computer Engineering preferred
- Education to qualify for the written Professional Engineering Examination as required by the State Board of Engineering is preferred.
- EIT Certification is preferred
