Summary:
We are excited for you to apply to our IT Systems Engineer I position within our Information Technology division. We are seeking an IT System Engineer with 0-5 years of experience to join our team. The System Engineering team is responsible for the platforms that provide compute, storage, and backup capabilities for our business and operational applications. This individual will play a crucial role in designing, managing and automating our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on automation using PowerShell and Python and will be comfortable working with a variety of platforms including Redhat Openshift, Redhat Enterprise Linux, VMware, and Windows Server.
Total Rewards:
A typical starting range for this position is $75,000 - $103,000 annually. We offer market competitive base pay and adjust our offer accordingly based on the value of the candidate’s knowledge, skills and experience. Responsibilities: Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to
Maintain and optimize infrastructure systems across various platforms, including compute, storage, and backup.
Automate solutions using tools such as Ansible, PowerShell and Python.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.
Develop and maintain documentation for systems and procedures.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and reliability.
Qualifications:
Level I requires either a bachelor’s degree in a technology related field and 0-3+ years of experience building and supporting technology infrastructure OR 2+ years post high school education in a technology related field and 2-5+ years of experience building and supporting technology infrastructure.
Experience with Redhat Openshift, Redhat Enterprise Linux, or similar platforms.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in automation using Ansible, PowerShell and Python.
4-year degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
Knowledge of VMware, Windows Server, or similar is a plus.
Knowledge of networking and security best practices.
