A Day in the Life
- Support Engineering Operations: Assist in the creation and upkeep of electrical and fiber models, records, inspections, and databases. Maintain the organization of engineering files and shared folders. Create process documents for engineering tasks and projects.
- Analyze and Report Data: Manipulate datasets and create reports for analysis of electrical and fiber system performance. Interpret advanced metering infrastructure meter data, create dashboards, and generate fiber make-ready reports using multiple data sources.
- Field and Office Collaboration: Assist with transformer and fuse sizing, DER interconnection applications, and system studies. Support work order inspections and ensure compliance with National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), Rural Utilities Service (RUS), and ECE, and other standards.
Requirements
- Education & Experience: Two-year technical degree or at least 2 years of electrical theory and power design experience, or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
- Credentials: Valid Minnesota Driver’s Class D License required.
- Skills: Very strong communication and organization skills, proficiency in Excel and Power BI, data analysis, mathematical computations, and understanding of electrical and fiber construction. Knowledge of NESC, National Electrical Codes (NEC) and RUS design standards is preferred.
Additional Details
- Schedule: Onsite, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the Braham, MN Operations South building.
- Hybrid Option: This position does not offer a hybrid work arrangement.
