Electrical Engineer

Wild Rice Electric is excited to welcome applications for an Electrical Engineer. The electrical engineer is an essential Operations team member partnering with the Cooperative’s engineering consultants to advise and participate in long and short-range work plans, provides information on potential growth areas, sectionalizing, cost of service, and arc flash studies and the completion and review of all regulatory documents.

Along with the consulting engineer's partnership, the electrical engineer will prepare work orders, staking sheets, construction drawings, and similar type work consistent with RUS and the Cooperative’s standard guidelines, practices, and policies and in accordance with the current National Electrical Safety Code. Additionally, performs drafting and mapping functions necessary to maintain working files resulting in current data, maps, etc. to reflect existing system status

Experiences and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required. 
• Professional Engineer (PE) credential is preferred but not required.
• Proficient ability in personal computer applications, mathematics and analytics is required. 
• Electrical, design, drafting, engineering surveying, or linework background is preferred.

This is a full time, non-exempt position with a hiring range of $40.63 - $41.83 per hour.
