Cooperative Light and Power Association, a member owned and community focused rural electric power utility, is seeking qualified candidates to fulfill the role of CEO.

Cooperative Light & Power (CLP) provides electric power to over 6,400 consumers, has an operating revenue in excess of $14.7 Million and 20 employees who are dedicated to the safe and reliable delivery of low-cost energy and quality services to our customers. The wholesale electric power supplier is Great River Energy.

Cooperative Light and Power is located in Two Harbors, Minnesota, on the beautiful north shore of Lake Superior (mother nature's air conditioner). Live where others come from afar to fish, hike, sail, golf, hunt and take in mother nature's beauty while enjoying the trails by bike, snowmobile or ATV. Watch the massive ships as they head toward the port of Duluth.

The Cooperative Light & Power territory offers high quality medical care, thriving academic and athletic programs in addition to resorts, wildlife reserve areas and is near many beautiful State Parks, including the exceptional Gooseberry State Park. Successful candidates will bring a minimum of 5-7 years of proven leadership ability, exceptional communication skills with both the employee and public audience, strong business acumen, commitment to a team culture, extensive knowledge of the electric utility industry, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
