Accountant
The Accountant is responsible for processing biweekly payroll along with payroll reporting. Reconcile subsidiary ledgers to the GL, including journal entries and account reconciliations. Gather and prepare information for various reporting to include board package, RUS reporting, Audits, and Regulatory Reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Processes biweekly payroll and closes payroll monthly, supports monthly/quarterly transactions, account reconciliations, and various state/federal reporting requirements, including W2s.
- Data verification to include account reconciliations, and proper accounting as it pertains to RUS & GAAP guidelines.
- Maintain statistical files, create graphs for monthly Board Package as well as other supporting documentation.
- Assist with the preparation of regulatory reporting and audits to include gathering and compiling data for: 990 Tax Return, RUS Form 7, External Financial Audits, MN Regulatory Accounting reporting such as MVEC property tax valuations and 1099s.
- Prepare journal entries and assist with reconciliation of subsidiary ledgers to the GL. Assist in month-end close procedures and other miscellaneous accounting duties.
- Assist with the review of actual spend to budget variances drivers. Provide requested information from budget owners.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of related experience
- Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to keep privileged information confidential
- Detail oriented
- Analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- High level of organization, time management, interpersonal skills, written/verbal communication, teamwork, confidentiality, and adaptability
Preferred Qualifications:
- Payroll Accounting and working knowledge of the Uniform System of Accounts (RUS)
